Bairei. Gaikan. Fruit.
The design for the Peach Farm Studio soapstone chop was inspired by the art of Kono Bairei (1844-1895, originally named Yasuda Bairei), in particular, by this piece shown in the photo (above) from Bairei Gaikan. Other examples of Bairei’s work are shown in the video (below), which primarily features flowers, landscapes and birds.
